Shell shock cases are crazy strong.
The downsides are REAL. They are finicky as hell to load, they WILL separate and jam your dies if you don’t use theirs.
It’s an impressive proof of concept, but it’s firmly in the experimental and consumable category rather than practical use.
The material is significantly stronger than brass (which usually fails/ruptures around 70k-80k PSI).
Not the most consistent groupings and a little dirty.
$1.25 per round is killin me 😭
3000 fps out a 10” is nuts. That’s actually really impressive.
