Accessories & Care: your questions, answered

choosingHow do I choose the right toy cleaner and storage?
Match the cleaner and storage to your toy's material. A gentle, alcohol-free spray or foam suits body-safe silicone, while a breathable pouch or lined case keeps toys dust-free and apart so they don't react with each other. Pick fragrance-free formulas if your skin is sensitive.
comparisonToy cleaner vs. soap and water — do I really need a dedicated cleaner?
For everyday care, warm water and mild unscented soap is fine for most non-porous toys, but a dedicated toy cleaner is quicker, pH-balanced, and safer on motors and seams you can't submerge. Use a cleaner for a fast between-use refresh and a full wash for a deeper clean.
beginnersI'm new to this — what care basics do I actually need?
Just three things to start: a body-safe toy cleaner, a soft storage pouch, and the right lube for your toy. Clean before and after every use, let toys fully air-dry, and store them separately. That routine covers the vast majority of hygiene and longevity worries for a first toy.
safetyWhy does non-porous material matter for cleaning and storage?
Non-porous materials like medical-grade silicone, glass and stainless steel don't have microscopic holes, so they won't trap bacteria, moisture or odour the way porous TPE and 'jelly' can. That makes them far easier to fully clean and safe to store long-term. We flag any material that isn't confirmed non-porous.
careHow should I store toys so they last?
Store toys clean, fully dry, and separately — different materials can react and go tacky if they touch, so a lined case or individual pouches are ideal. Keep them somewhere cool, dark and dust-free, remove batteries from anything you won't use for a while, and top up rechargeables every few months.
deliveryIs delivery discreet for accessories too?
Yes — cleaners, cases and chargers ship in the same plain, unbranded packaging as everything else, with a discreet billing descriptor and free NZ shipping over $150. We don't offer change-of-mind returns or exchanges, whether or not it's been opened, but we'll always put a fault right.

How to care for your toys so they last

A little maintenance keeps toys hygienic, body-safe and working for years. Here's the simple routine — clean by material, store smart, and keep the power sorted.

Coy buying-guide card — “Clean by material, every time”

1. Clean by material, every time

The right clean depends on what a toy is made of. Non-porous silicone, glass and steel take a body-safe cleaner or warm soapy water; motorised toys shouldn't be submerged. Clean before and after use and let everything fully air-dry before it goes away.

  • Body-safe, alcohol-free cleaner for a fast refresh
  • Never submerge anything with a motor or charging port
  • Air-dry fully — trapped moisture is what breeds bacteria
Coy buying-guide card — “Store them separately and dust-free”

2. Store them separately and dust-free

Materials matter in storage too. Different silicones can react and turn sticky if they touch, so keep toys in individual pouches or a lined case somewhere cool, dark and dry. It protects the surface, keeps out dust, and keeps everything discreetly out of sight.

  • Individual pouches stop materials reacting
  • Cool, dark and dry preserves silicone and electronics
  • A lockable case adds privacy at home
Coy buying-guide card — “Keep the power reliable”

3. Keep the power reliable

Dead batteries at the wrong moment are avoidable. Rechargeable toys prefer a top-up every few months even when idle, while battery toys last longer if you remove the cells during storage. Keep the right spare batteries or a charging cable on hand.

  • Top up rechargeables every few months when unused
  • Remove batteries from stored toys to prevent leaks
