This is good for beginners since you don't have to worry about something catching onto your hair, and it is very comfortable. The fabric and quality are amazing, especially for the price.

I'm looking for a blindfold that I can use when my partner comes in at night and turns her lamp on when I've already gone to sleep. I'm a light sleeper, and I have some sensory issues that are exacerbated when I'm tired and groggy, and it can be hard for me to be chill about her using her light (even if it's dim) to do her going-to-bed stuff. Thing is, those sensory issues also make most blindfolds too annoying for me to sleep in. I don't want any light leaks at all, and I need it to be very soft and comfortable. No elastic straps cutting into my skin, nothing pressing against my eyes. I don't care if it's bulky and ridiculous-looking, so long as it's comfy enough to sleep in, and blocks 100% of the light—99.9% won't do.
I'd like to make a blindfold that stays in place even when you're struggling. I've seen an item I'd like but it's expensive for what it is (60€ with delivery..) see pictures. Would you have any advice for a beginner to make it (tools, materials, technique...) The knot fastening system is not optimal in my opinion, I'd prefer a lockable strap.
