Then I found the Dr. Laura Berman dilator set (which is mostly made of ABS plastic). Plastic seems like it would be easier to insert than silicone, but I haven't dilated before and am only guessing. Is anybody familiar with this brand (and if it's any good)?
This is the set I use from that same brand. They're made of firm, satiny silicone and have a curve to the shafts, so they're much more friendly to your anatomy.
